Privacy
What’s up? Why are you reading this boring page?
You want to know about my privacy policy I guess. That’s fair.
It’s simple.
The Newsletter
If you join my newsletter, I’ll email you that newsletter five days a week.
All I will know and store about you is your email address.
You can unsubscribe at any time from a link in the footer of the email. If you do that, I’ll keep your email address in my “unsubscribes” to make sure I don’t send you anything again.
You can also ask me to totally delete your email address, which I’ll happily do.
I use ConvertKit for the above.
The Website
When you’re browsing this website, I anonymously track some of the things you do here (all shown to me in aggregate, never specifically you), which help me analyse and improve things. The data includes:
- The pages visitors look at and the actions they take, which helps me improve the website (think of this analytical use of data).
- Information such as the recent searches, browser type, whether visitors are on a phone or desktop, and language preference (think of this as using data to improve user experience).
I’m currently using Google Analytics for the above.
You can opt-out of Google Analytics through Google’s browser add on if you want.
I also use Facebook Pixel on this website. Facebook Pixel is a tracking code which allows me to track and monitor the success of advertisements I use on Facebook and to improve the effectiveness of those advertisements by recording information such as the device visitors use to access the website and the actions they take on the website using cookies.
Facebook aggregates data gathered from my use of Facebook Pixel on my website with data it gathers from other sources, in order to improve and target advertisements displayed on its website or via its services, to improve its systems and to provide measurement services to third parties which use Facebookâs advertising services.
You can find out more about how Facebook handles information they collect about you and other individuals by accessing their privacy policy.
